The Israel Innovation Authority, responsible for the country’s innovation policy, is an independent and impartial statutory public entity that operates for the benefit of the Israeli innovation ecosystem and Israeli economy as a whole. Its mission is to strengthen the innovation ecosystem and promote innovation, entrepreneurship & disruptive technologies as leverage for inclusive and sustainable economic growth.
The Authority provides investments in the form of conditional grants to support technological innovations as well as engage in creating the groundwork and infrastructure to prepare for future technologies to maintain both technological and economic leadership as well as improve productivity and global competitiveness of the Israeli technology hub.

Diving Deep (Tech): European Deep-Tech Opportunities
Europe has what it takes to become a global hub for deep tech excellence: strong fundamental research, well-educated talent (~1.5x the number of STEM graduates vs. the US) and significant public support. This session will explore the landscape of deep tech in Europe, delving into key investment themes such as Novel AI, Future of Compute, Novel Energy, Space Tech, Robotics, Biotech/Foodtech/Agtech, Advanced Materials and Nanotechnology. It will examine market dynamics, providing valuable insights into the innovations and opportunities shaping the future of deep tech technology.
The Pods
A unique model developed by EIT Hub Israel, designed to drive tangible collaborations and strategic partnerships. Each participant will have limited time to introduce themselves, highlight what they bring to a partnership, and specify the type of collaboration they are seeking. This structured approach provides a focused platform for deeper engagement and actionable partnership opportunities.
MNCs Shaping & Shaking Up Deep Tech Innovations
Deep tech technologies, with their advanced scientific and engineering innovations, are primarily utilised by MNCs to stay competitive. These corporations adopt deep tech solutions to enhance efficiency, develop new products, and play a vital role in bringing startup innovations to market. In this session, German-based MNCs from industries such as mobility, insurance, telecom, manufacturing, and chemistry will share how they integrate deep tech solutions at scale.
The Deep Tech Playbook
This session will spotlight innovative models for supporting the growth and scale of deep tech ventures. We will explore how different approaches contribute to the success and scale of deep tech companies. The session aims to inspire with real-world examples and provide a platform for discussing which models can be adapted or replicated across ecosystems.
Deep Tech Partnership models
Partnership is one of the key elements when it comes to deep-tech innovation breakthroughs. This session will explore various deep-tech partnership models, focusing on how academia, industry, and accelerators can effectively collaborate to drive innovation. The session aims to equip the participants with actionable insights for fostering strong, impactful alliances within the deep tech ecosystem.
Navigating the European Maze: Funding and Collaboration Opportunities
This session will be led by Horizon Europe experts, who will identify and present relevant open calls and additional EU funding opportunities. Participants will receive tailored consulting support and matchmaking to help them build successful consortia that align with their interests. The experts will provide insights into deep-tech projects in areas such as AI and robotics, emerging enabling technologies, health, energy storage and supply, digital innovation, industry and space, cybersecurity, and advanced computing.

The ideal participant is a senior-level professional from Europe, Israel and Horizon Europe associated countries, with at least five years of relevant experience in innovation or business creation, operating within the deep tech ecosystem. Applicants should hold a leadership or decision-making role in an organisation that supports startup growth and significantly contributes to the advancement of deep technologies. We are looking for individuals who can bring strategic insight, practical experience, and valuable network connections to the programme and their peers.

EIT Hub Israel offers a limited number of full scholarships covering the programme fee and up to €1,000 for travel and accommodation.

Yes, in-person participation is required, as building physical collaborations is the core essence of the DeepTechers programme.
You will meet peers and tech leaders from Europe and Horizon Europe associated countries, top speakers and lecturers on a number of different topics, executives from global companies, and many more professionals that can be your future business partners to support the deep-tech innovation ecosystem.
Experienced European or Horizon Europe associated country senior professionals, at the management/decision making, in an organisation boosting start-up growth, significantly impacting the deep-tech ecosystem. For example, heads of: accelerators, VCs, innovation agencies, labs, incubators or other business creation activities from academia, industry, government and/or TTO’s.
Sessions will include an in-depth exploration of advanced strategies for scaling deep-tech initiatives, startups, and scale-ups, with a focus on distinctive models for venture building and leveraging academic research for commercialisation. Participants will also explore leading global deep-tech technologies, followed by workshops on venture building, and industry innovation insights, concluding with sessions on deep-tech partnership building.

The applicants will be ranked according to the criteria mentioned in the Assessment Process section and the final decision will be made by EIT Hub Israel steering committee. Applicants will receive responses by 4 September 2025.

While having an idea or ongoing project can accelerate your engagement, you’ll also have the opportunity to join existing projects or create new ones.
As an outcome of the programme, you can expect to:
EIT Hub Israel will offer a “booster package” to support joint projects or collaborations emerging from The DeepTechers. Qualifying initiatives must involve at least two organisations who participated in the programme.
As programme alumni, you will join the Global Outreach community network, an active online and offline community offering access to opportunities, curated content, matchmaking, soft-landing services, and support.
