This Programme is Co-Led by
The Israel Innovation Authority, responsible for the country’s innovation policy, is an independent and impartial statutory public entity that operates for the benefit of the Israeli innovation ecosystem and Israeli economy as a whole. Its mission is to strengthen the innovation ecosystem and promote innovation, entrepreneurship & disruptive technologies as leverage for inclusive and sustainable economic growth.
The Authority provides investments in the form of conditional grants to support technological innovations as well as engage in creating the groundwork and infrastructure to prepare for future technologies to maintain both technological and economic leadership as well as improve productivity and global competitiveness of the Israeli technology hub.

Who Should Apply
The ideal participant is a senior-level professional from Europe, Israel and Horizon Europe associated countries, with at least five years of relevant experience in innovation or business creation, operating within the deep tech ecosystem. Applicants should hold a leadership or decision-making role in an organisation that supports startup growth and significantly contributes to the advancement of deep technologies. We are looking for individuals who can bring strategic insight, practical experience, and valuable network connections to the programme and their peers.
Examples of suitable candidates include:
- Leaders of AI factories, digital innovation hubs, or venture builders
- Heads of accelerators and incubators
- Partners or senior managers at venture capital funds investing in deep tech
- Directors of technology transfer offices (TTOs) or academic entrepreneurship centres
- Managers in research and technology organisations (RTOs) or university-affiliated innovation labs
- Senior leaders at Corporate Venture Capital (CVC) units or innovation directors within multinational companies
- Senior professionals in innovation agencies, governmental tech programmes, or pan-European deep tech initiatives
The programme is not suited for startups or consultants.
Finance
The full cost of the programme is €2000, however EIT Hub Israel can offer partial funding of the programme and/or travel & accommodation reimbursement based on the following categories:

EIT Hub Israel offers a limited number of full scholarships covering the programme fee and up to €1,000 for travel and accommodation.
Scholarships may be offered to participants who are required to cover the cost of participation in the programme:
Partners from other KICs who are not part of the Global Outreach Working Group (EIT staff are not eligible for scholarships).
Ecosystem Managers from non-EIT affiliated organisations.
- Scholarships may be awarded based on the following criteria:
- You are a professional from the deep tech sector with strong potential to contribute to synergies, collaborations, or joint activities between EIT Hub Israel and programme participants.
- You commit to leading a “contribution project” that supports the programme. This can include activities such as: writing a blog post following the programme, organising a follow-up event, or proposing another initiative aligned with the programme’s goals.
- All contribution project proposals must be submitted as part of the application form and will be reviewed by a selection committee. Only selected proposals will be eligible for a scholarship.

Does the programme require physical attendance?
Yes, in-person participation is required, as building physical collaborations is the core essence of the DeepTechers programme.
Who will we meet during the programme?
You will meet peers and tech leaders from Europe and Horizon Europe associated countries, top speakers and lecturers on a number of different topics, executives from global companies, and many more professionals that can be your future business partners to support the deep-tech innovation ecosystem.
Who should apply?
Experienced European or Horizon Europe associated country senior professionals, at the management/decision making, in an organisation boosting start-up growth, significantly impacting the deep-tech ecosystem. For example, heads of: accelerators, VCs, innovation agencies, labs, incubators or other business creation activities from academia, industry, government and/or TTO’s.
What topics will be covered during the programme?
Sessions will include an in-depth exploration of advanced strategies for scaling deep-tech initiatives, startups, and scale-ups, with a focus on distinctive models for venture building and leveraging academic research for commercialisation. Participants will also explore leading global deep-tech technologies, followed by workshops on venture building, and industry innovation insights, concluding with sessions on deep-tech partnership building.

How much does the programme cost?
The programme cost is determined according to your financial category, and varies from participant to participant. Scholarships are available. Check out the Finance section for more information, and if you have any questions reach out to: [email protected].
What does the selection process look like?
The applicants will be ranked according to the criteria mentioned in the Assessment Process section and the final decision will be made by EIT Hub Israel steering committee. Applicants will receive responses by 4 September 2025.

Do I need to come with an idea for a project?
While having an idea or ongoing project can accelerate your engagement, you’ll also have the opportunity to join existing projects or create new ones.

As an outcome of the programme, you can expect to:

How will EIT Hub Israel support initiatives and collaborations created following the programme?
EIT Hub Israel will offer a “booster package” to support joint projects or collaborations emerging from The DeepTechers. Qualifying initiatives must involve at least two organisations who participated in the programme.
What happens after the programme?
As programme alumni, you will join the Global Outreach community network, an active online and offline community offering access to opportunities, curated content, matchmaking, soft-landing services, and support.
What are the assessment criteria?
Each application will be reviewed and ranked by the following criteria:
- Impact of your organisation and programme on the European innovation ecosystem (i.e. number of startups you meet weekly)
- Professional role and seniority level
- Motivation and added value to the programme
- Relevance of topic/idea/partnership the applicants will focus on during the programme
- The selection process will consider diversity of the ecosystem, including underrepresented groups
- An individual online interview might be scheduled as an additional evaluation criterion
- The selection will be competitive and based on excellence and the above-noted criteria
The final approval will be made by the EIT Hub Israel Working Group (with members representing 6 KICs: EIT Health, EIT Climate-KIC, EIT Manufacturing, EIT Digital, EIT Food, and EIT Culture & Creativity).
